EFTPOS Failure? Don't Mess With Christmas !

NZ is the most EFTPOS (credit / debit card) dependent country in the world... a much higher % of purchases are done by this means (rather than cash or check) than anywhere else ... Years ago it was suggested that real time analysis of the NZ economy could be achieved by monitoring the transactions over the EFTPOS network!

It will be interesting to see if there is a social backlash overthis as there has been some controversy lately over the increasing Australian Bank influence on the New Zealand Banking and Payment markets.
